Clouds gather above in dark colors of ominous gray,
threatening to unleash a torrent unseen before today.
As rumbling is heard in the distance as echoes heard,
once within dreams flying aloft like a mighty bird.
Rain starts to fall at first seeming refreshingly cool,
like spring showers as friends gather beside a pool.
Building in intensity while people run for drier places,
and the ground becomes soaked by Nature's graces.
Lakes once empty fill faster perhaps than they should,
and dams no longer can function well as they could.
Placing cities beneath with danger of being flooded,
by forces greater than those once by people corrupted.
Revenge for damage caused in the name of progress,
as mankind extended its domain meaning to suppress.
A world of beauty under concrete and steel beams,
but now reclaimed as streets are replaced by streams.
