Caught in a silken web made up of lies and deceit,
knowing better to enter but drawn by odor sweet.
Wherein sits a lady seemingly vulnerable and alone,
yet wearing an invisible mask to hide what's unshone.
Shining angelic in the darkness like a sun so bright,
whose eyes burn with passion that promises delight.
Though beneath is hidden danger unable to resist,
that given opportunity taking your soul once kissed.
She lures you in like a moth drawn towards a flame,
until your wings no longer exist to leave the game.
With only legs held secure in place by velvet chains,
unable to walk away despite the sorrow that remains,
Having lost the freedom of will needed for an escape,
to return from whence your spirit first took shape.
Soaring like an eagle upon wings spread out wide,
high above free from trouble you did silently glide.
